Palas began when
Eran Svigos and Anna Dimond saw
a gap in the fashion
accessories market back in 1996
–this coincided with
a period in their lives
when they were
indulging their
passion for travel.
Whilst travelling,
they explored
opportunities
and developed
ideas inspired by
the cultures and the
places they were
experiencing –
especially the
beautiful Indonesia.

It was in Indonesia that they instantly
fell in love with the
country and its
people. They were
inspired by the
traditional methods
of art and design
and impressed
by the skilled and
creative artisan
community that
exists there.

Indonesia is an
integral part of
Palas’ design and
production process.
After months of
working on new
designs in Australia,
Palas works
closely with expert
silversmiths in Indonesia to
finalise Palas’ new
range designs and
samples.
